Catholic Church sv. Nikola in Split Croatia

Beautiful little church with bell and fresh water fountain. It's just over half way up the hill, worth seeing if you are doing this walk anyway. No way to see inside but the walk up is pleasant anyway.
It was built in 1219 by the citizen of Split Racco and his wife Elizabeth and donated to the monastery of Santo Stefano in Sustepan. It was patronized by Benedictine monks, later hermits.
Saint Nicholas is located on the southeast side of Marjan, at an altitude of two hundred meters above the summit of Prva Vidilica (first summit), where a breathtaking view extends over the sea and the ships that Saint Nicholas has protected since ancient times, with their crew.
The church was restored in 1990.
