But history tells us that revolutions don't always turn out well. While they may overthrow a tyranny, they often replace it with something much worse. Robespierre said "The government of the revolution is liberty's despotism against tyranny.

How can you tell which way a revolution will go? The French Revolution and the American Revolution hold a lot of lessons for us today.
