Llaqtallaqtayoq: A Little-Known Ruins in the Sacred Valley of Peru
2 years ago

An investigation of Llaqtallaqtayoc (aka "Choquetakarpo") near Ollantaytambo in Peru's Sacred Valley. This complex is comprised of 2 sectors, which may have served as a masons' school during Inca or pre-Inca times. In addition, this site may have been an administrative center for the nearby quarry of Cachiqata, from which the massive stones found at Ollantaytambo are believed to have been sourced.
