Gavin Newsom trails the RCP polling aggregate, but even taking the outlier poll out, he is only hanging on by roughly three points in deep blue California. I do not expect him to lose, but I do think that a close election alone will deliver a brutal blow to Democrats, particularly as Newsom's main issue is with Latino voters.
