These 8 trending items are actually based on the data gathered by Yelp and their team of data scientists. It looked at which items got the most increase in mentions in reviews during 2019 and 2020. And even though it looked at those years, it doesn't mean this is out of date. I am actually seeing MORE of these items popping up in my Instagram feed, being mentioned in conversations, and seeing news from local publications of new restaurants of cloud kitchen popping up selling these items. I also looked on Google Trends and have found that the search for these items have been going up steadily.
