Debbie Burt from Arizona was so addicted to opioids for her pain that she would sometimes snort them, and once even dragged the heavy safe (where her husband kept them) to him while he slept to try to get his thumbprint to deactivate the lock! Her intense pain and addition was so bad that her life revolved around getting painkillers, doing whatever it took, even lying to her doctor. When she finally had enough she went through detox and started taking cannabis. "It feels like I've opened my eyes for the first time in seven years," she says.
