Per Dr. Jay Hobgood at Weather USA, the ¹"former Tropical Storm Grace intensified [in]to a hurricane west of the Cayman Islands on Wednesday morning."¹
²At 8:00 PM EDT, Wed Aug 18th, TROPICAL STORM GRACE was located 170 mi E of Tulum Mexico moving WNW at 16 mph.²

There are WARNINGS & WATCHES for ¹&²HURRICANE GRACE basically effecting the Cayman Islands, Cuba, & Mexico.¹&²
GRACE is ²"EXPECTED TO BRING STRONG WINDS AND A DANGEROUS STORM
SURGE TO PORTIONS OF THE EASTERN YUCATAN PENINSULA OF MEXICO."²

* Southern coast Cuban province of Pinar del Rio, as well as Isla

¹Hurricane Grace is expected to intensify on Wednesday due to favorable environmental conditions.

¹"Hurricane Grace will approach the Yucatan Peninsula on Wednesday night. Grace will bring strong winds"¹, heavy rainfall, & probable flash flooding in some locations. Probable storm surges are expected ¹"along the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula."¹

POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE FRED
at ²5:00 PM EDT, on Wed Aug 18th was
Located 185 mi WSW of Binghamton NY
Moving NE at 15 mph.

Wed, ¹"Tropical Depression Fred was dropping heavy rain over parts of the northeastern U.S."¹

We have a 500 PM EDT advisory bulletin for you regarding Tropical Depression FRED:

PENNSYLVANIA TOWARD THE SOUTHERN TIER OF NEW YORK WITH HEAVY RAIN

Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and across interior New
England.

A Tornado Watch is in effect from northern Virginia and parts of

is expected to cause RAINFALL from 2 to 4 in & possibly 6" in isolated areas. FRED rainfall is expected across the Northeastern USA "²from much of Pennsylvania and New York into New England"²
²Flash flooding is possible ²"across portions of the northern Mid-Atlantic States
and the Northeastern USA. Isolated tornadoes are possible across parts of the inland Mid-Atlantic region this evening."²

Now let's review TROPICAL STORM HENRI.
On Wed, ¹that Tropical Storm was passing southwestwardly along Bermuda¹.
² At 5:00 PM EDT, on Wed Aug 18th, HENRI was located 235 mi SW of Bermuda & moving W at 9 mph.²

²HENRI is being monitored & is expected to upgrade as a HURRICANE.²
²"There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect"² for TROPICAL STORM HENRI,
BUT ²"Swells are expected to increase across
much of the east coast of the U.S. and Atlantic Canada later this
week and this weekend. These swells could cause life-threatening
surf and rip current conditions. "²

LET'S LOOK AT THE WEAKENING HURRICANE LINDA CAT 2.
²At 5:00 PM EDT, Wed Aug 18th, HURRICANE LINDA was located 1430 mi E of Hilo Hawaii and moving WNW at 14 mph.² ² which is "expected to continue through[out] the weekend."²
²"Maximum sustained winds are near 100 mph with higher gusts.
Steady weakening is forecast through Friday, and Linda is expected to become a gale-force post-tropical cyclone on Saturday."²

²"There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.”² for HURRICANE LINDA per the Miami Hurricane Center.
