Passenger Boeing 777 after departure from the American city of Denver lost all the skin of the right engine, its debris fell on residential areas, and the engine caught fire.
No one was reportedly injured on board or on the ground, but passengers and locals were hit hard.
The liner, which was carrying 231 passengers and 10 crew members, was able to safely return and land at the airport in Denver, Colorado. No injuries were reported.
The United Airlines flight was bound for Honolulu. The US Federal Aviation Administration reported that the plane's right engine failed.
United Airlines confirmed the fact of engine failure of one of the liners after departure. In her statement, it said that the Boeing 777 safely returned to the airport of departure. As a precaution, he was met by emergency crews.
