Hot off the heels of finishing the original Super Robot Wars for the Gameboy, I jump straight into another SRW. That was a practice run, this is the real deal.

SRW 2G is a 1995 remake of the 1991 SRW2. It brings the SRW4 battle system as an improved QoL feature, and also adds more series, more stages, route splits, and tries to fix the classic series continuity.

You can argue whether or not this is the "definitive" version of SRW 2, but it certainly makes a strong showing.

In this episode, we start of with Usso Ewin facing off against Chronicle Asher, in a scene taken straight from Episode 1 of V Gundam. Unlike the anime, we actually shoot down Chronicle, instead of simply forcing him to retreat. Then the reinforcements arrive, and we get a bunch of allies to help shoot down some grunts.
