Three days ago the Afghanistan was taken over completely by the Taliban. The people are in total shock and total grief. The underground church is preparing now for the utter worst for themselves and their families. Though they are mighty and courageous believers, they are still human and are now facing the darkest night. We now have knowledge that the Taliban has a hit list of known Christians they are targeting to pursue and kill.

They have been going around slipping messages under the doors of the Christians telling them their days are numbered. The Taliban are going door-to-door taking women and children. All the people must mark their door with an "X" if they have a girl over 12 years old, so that the Taliban can take them.

If they find a young girl and the house was not marked they will execute the entire family. If a married woman 25 years or older has been found, the Taliban will promptly kill her husband, do whatever they want to her, and then sell her as a sex slave. Husbands and fathers have given their wives and daughters guns and told them that when the Taliban come, they can choose to kill them or kill themselves—it is their choice.

The US Embassy is defunct and there is no longer a safe place for any believers to take refuge. Many are sitting in their homes preparing to die. All borders to neighboring countries are closed and guarded by Taliban armies, and all flights to and from have been halted, with the exception of private planes. Iron fences have been put around the airport keeping everyone out. People are fleeing in terror into the mountains looking for asylum to hopefully stay alive. They are completely, fully reliant on God, who is the only One who can and will protect them.

To Afghanistan's women the flowing cloth represents the sudden and devastating loss of rights gained over 20 years—the right to work, study, move and even live in peace—that they fear will never be regained.” [Source: CNN World]

Will you join with me and the family of God to stand in the gap for them? Satan is NOT all powerful, Jesus Christ is. We stand on the Lord's side, and in His name we will pray and fast for the whole nation of Afghanistan, and all our brothers and sisters.

Jesus said in Matthew 28:18, "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." Therefore we stand on the Lord's side and our eyes and hearts will be fixed upon the Lord for only what He can and WILL do. "To God be the glory! Shalom.
