BODYCAM: Suspect In Body Armor Starts Gunfight With Edmond, OK Officers

WATCH Graphic Bodycam videos from an Edmond Officer-Involved shooting. Edmond Police released new Bodycam videos of the encounter Officers had with a heavily-armed man. Edmond Police say they received a 911 call from a man who was checking on his friend, Carrington Scott. The man said when he knocked on the door, Scott started shooting at him.

The friend wasn't hit by gunfire but ran to a nearby coffee shop to call for help.

Police say Scott stayed inside his home and continued to shoot at random.

When Officers arrived, they set up a perimeter outside of his house.

After a while, Police say Scott went out the front door armed with a semi-automatic rifle, handgun, and a "significant" amount of ammunition.

Police say Scott was also wearing body armor.

Officers say Scott did not comply with verbal commands. Officers shot him in the calf.

Scott was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
