Alien Biology: Fossilized DNA Reprogramming

The scienticians in charge of this expedition had no idea how large this stash of fossilized DNA was when they made their initial announcement. They estimate that another 1.44 gigatons remain, leaving some to speculate that not all of these remains were inhabitants of Vega's moon and were perhaps transported, after death, in some form of gruesome mass burial, approximately 14.4 million years ago. You noticed that too? The 1.44 and the 14.4? Yeah, the scienticians are going absolutely nutso over it. Especially the ones bringing the Chandrasekhar limit under consideration. That aside, they are fast at work on the DNA, attempting to coax it into new forms, functions and flavors. Will they ever solve the mystery? Stay tuned to find out.
