EP Carrillo Dusk Robusto Cigar Review

This 5x50 stick features an almost black firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, light pack, slightly oily toothy satin feel and a honey hay aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with good medium-full bodied smoke production showing flavors of a zesty light earth, deep wood with a pepper and spice kick on the draw followed by the earth going deeper through the long zingy finish. The first third burns well with a razor sharp line but on the fast side, holding an inch of ash. Flavors are dominated by a deep earth and pepper with a hint of sweetness on the draw followed by a long finish that adds the spice in. The 1/2 way point comes at 25 min with perfect performance and no flavor changes. Ending at 1 hour the last third dials down the pepper and spice going to a sweet deep earth throughout with a musty finish while adding a mild-medium strength kick and slowing the burn.
