Heavy Metal...August bass fishing grind on Pickwick Lake

Bass fishing in August down south is a grind. Caught some out deep with a Spotsticker MiniMe 1-1/4 oz spinnerbait and a 3/4 oz FinTech football head with a Reaction Innovations kinky beaver. There was a lot of small shad in shallow water but I only had one bite, a smallmouth, on a Z-Man pro bulletz weedless jighead with a Z-Man goat twin tail grub off a shallow point. The late summer shallow bite should be happening soon good luck out there.
