U.S./Afghanistan War: Questionable Intentions

Why is the U.S. really in Afghanistan? It's becoming more clear every day that we were never told the real reason for this war, and apparently the U.S. government that got us into the fight needs this war to go on indefinitely no matter how many lies or lives it takes. Are we going to wrap it up in ribbon and bows to hand it over to the Taliban to pass on to China? Starting to look that way. But that will have to be another post.
