Here is Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby just on Aug 13th stating Kabul was not in imminent threat. Two days later on Aug 15th, Kabul fell to Taliban forces.

The level of incompetence of the current Pentagon leadership is simply shocking. Up to and including the Commander-in-chief.
