The Apotheosis of Secularism

A brief discussion upon the idea of Scientism becoming the new holy and protected state religion; enforced as spiritedly and viciously as the dogmatisms of old. I see this as a repeat of older themes of control and a reaffirming of the desire of Man to tame and domesticate all of nature, including himself. This event plaguing us seems to be a sort of artificial selection, wherein the state is choosing characteristics to then be brought into the Novus Mundus they wish. However, this is all being propagated via fear which inexorably transmogrifies, within the alchemical chamber of the mind, into a type of collective chain of hysteria or mass-psychosis; if it was not so close in proximity, it would be nonetheless wonderous to ponder its ramifications and the lessons it may teach us of the propensity of the human mind towards self-destruction.
