The dog just wanted a feather that fell off one of the ladies dresses and didn't care about some crazy bed races...Central City Colorado is an old gold mining area about 40 miles from Denver. The first gold lode in Colorado was discovered here on May 6, 1859. This started the Pikes Peak gold rush. The Richest Square Mile on Earth!
