"It's not right-I couldn't take it anymore."
Kayla Strayer has worked in traditional news for more than 10 years in five different markets. She graduated from Ohio State University and then hopped across the country to report and anchor the local news. She says she noticed a shift in the news over the past year. Besides employees being asked to do even more with less resources, there were ethical concerns as well. Left-leaning news was welcome-but not the other way around. She was even asked to approach Trump rallies with pandemic protection scrutiny but ignore that when reporting on protests and looting. Strayer is a proud American and loves telling people's stories - especially veterans - but wants to feel news is being done right. She doesn't feel right about censorship or agenda-driven news.
