The Angry Birds creator, Rovio, sued a restaurant in California for trademark infringement after the restaurant was named ‘Angry Birdz Nashville Hot Chicken.’ The logo and font used by the restaurant’s owners were also extremely similar to the logo and font used by the mobile app.

Because of the clear usage of similar branding, Angry Birdz stood little chance of winning the case, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot to unpack here.
