Senate PUTS the BRAKES on CRT $$

The U.S. Senate passes an amendment preventing federal funds from promoting Critical Race Theory in schools. With today's Americans for Limited Government Minute, I'm Catherine Mortensen. The senate passed Senator Tom Cotton's amendment to the budget reconciliation package by a fifty to forty-nine vote. CRT is a Marxist construct developed in the nineteen-seventies and eighties. It promotes the idea that racism is systemic in the nation’s institutions and that they function to maintain the dominance of white people in society. Senator Cotton - who posted a video of himself addressing the senate chamber - said that he was raised to believe that the U.S. is a great nation and called CRT an un-American ideology. The Left wants to teach our children that America is not a good nation, but a racist nation.
