The United States now spends significantly more per capita on health care than any other country in the world - $9,451 - almost 40% more per person than Switzerland – the country that spends the second most per person in the world. The US spends more than twice what Canada, France, Italy, Japan, the UK and Australia spend. Despite the tsunami of money, the US ranks # 30 in terms of life expectancy. This compares to Japan (#1) Switzerland (#2) Australia (#4), Italy (#6), France (#9, and the UK (#20). Health care expenditures have risen from 7 to 17% of GNP, threatening the health of retirement systems and household budgets.

As the US Congress struggles with proposals to create an economic health care system that serves all Americans, they face a series of special interests that make such a system impossible without a revolutionary shift in consciousness and our entire economy.

A US health care system that is both fair and economic will require a change in the behavior of citizens and in numerous related industries – such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and media– and in covert operations - including narcotics trafficking and global spraying.

Jon Rappoport of No More Fake News joins me this week to review the challenges facing the US health system. Jon has spent decades investigating medicine, the health sciences and the health care system. His body of writings – much of it captured in his two excellent collections The Matrix Revealed and Exit From the Matrix – reflect some of the most powerful insight available. If there is anyone who can underscore the case for you making sure you are in charge of your health and gain the knowledge you need to navigate the related systems, it is Jon Rappoport.
