Centralized Control Always Ends Badly

I’m back from the desert, and talking about centralization. It seems that someone has learned the wrong lesson from China’s meteoric rise. They want you to believe it was due to central planning.

Not only was it not due to central planning, central planning led to the deaths of tens of millions of Chinese people.

This is something that happens every time nations and economies are controlled centrally. Think of Pol Pot in Cambodia, Hitler in Germany, Mao in China, and Stalin in the USSR.

The elites want you to give up everything, and trust them to take care of you. Nobody is going to be a better caretaker for your needs than yourself. We need more private ownership, not less. More speech, more freedom, and more decentralization.
