The Q Continuum

Q - He is an extra-realm being of unknown origin who possesses immeasurable power over time, space, the laws of physics, and reality itself, being capable of altering it to cross multi plexus time streams in virtual reality states of advanced dimensional consciousness.

Q Continuum" itself – an alternate realm accessible to only Q and "invited" guests. The true nature of the realm is said to be beyond the comprehension of "lesser beings" such as 3D consciousness, therefore it is shown to humans only in ways they can understand; e.g., a run-down gas station in the 'middle of nowhere'.

Q is a cosmic force judging humanity to see if it is becoming a threat to the universe.

Q appears with a warning for humanity against breaking the barrier.

Galactic Delta Vega barrier. The barrier was constructed to protect the galaxy from a malevolent, near-omnipotent, entity known as 0. The entity had remorselessly ravaged several worlds 600,000 years prior, before being stopped by Q.

A small portion of 0's consciousness had passed through the barrier a few years prior, and merged with the Earth entity O’s. They are promised immortality in exchange for opening the barrier. After 0 entered the galaxy, Q, other members of the Q Continuum, and the Galactic summit of galaxies, joined forces to defeat the O’s
