"Ashokan Farewell" was written by Jay Ungar who owns the copyright for that tune. All credit to him for the beauty of this melody. Did you know the chorus of the song follows the Golden Ratio? The high C-note actually falls exactly at the golden mean. Gorgeous.

"Battle Hymn of the Republic" or "Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory" is a Civil War era tune credited to an abolitionist named Julia Ward Howe. The melody is beautiful and the lyrics speak of God trampling out evil, which we would all love to see no matter what your perspective!
