Our New Christian Easter Tradition

Hi everyone,

We hope you had an amazing Resurrection Sunday! We know most people still call it Easter Sunday, but we like to say Resurrection Sunday as a good way of reminding ourselves what it is really about.

So this year, we wanted to do something different. We wanted away from the bunny and the eggs. In truth, we have never really done the Easter Bunny, but we have done egg hunts and Bell loved them. We happened to come across an idea of doing a rock hunt instead. We filled the basket up with rocks to represent sin. As we filled the basket it became heavier and heavier, just like the burden of sin. We covered the basket full of rocks with a red cloth - it was a shirt for us, cause... short notice and quarantine! On Resurrection Sunday, we uncovered the basket to reveal it was empty like the tomb and a Her First Bible in the place of the rocks/sins. We then read it together and played in the rain to top it all off. It was the perfect Christ-centered Easter activity! What a wonderful day! We hope you enjoy the video, and if you're interested in the little Bible we gave to our daughter there is a link below if you would like to check it out - we included a link for the Her First Bible and the His First Bible.

As always, keep Christ as the center of your life and marriage. Never compromise God's Word.
