jesus speaks to me

see when i look at the scriptures - it can be so beautiful
so nice and so good - so profound and so true
for i’m looking at it all - from a point out in space
where it doesn’t affect me - for it’s not out to get me
strike me or condemn me - just to hurt me
the way i may fear - when i think its all about me
after me - and talking directly to me
till one day - i finally got it

when jesus from on the cross
projected his reflections
out to me, so i could see

and so with a clear conscience
jesus asks for my opinion - my advice or best view
always worthy of sharing with god
is it all not so beautiful - so profound - and so making sense
when you read and understand - god’s good words
from a point out in space - yes in light and in time
still drifting out in god’s mind - all the time

and from there on the cross
