DREAM MACHINES: Calm Before The Storm - Great Lakes Dragaway | 1/4 Mile IHRA Drag Strip

All was calm when we arrived at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove Wisconsin, but as the cars lined up in the staging lanes, dark ominous thunder clouds approached from the Northeast. As things grew darker and the wind began to pick up the cars unleashed a storm of thunder and fury all of their own.

In this episode of our mini series "Downshift" we capture some fast and furious quarter mile action at a "test n' tune" night at the famous IHRA drag strip in Union Grove Wisconsin, Great Lakes Dragaway. The ominous and threatening thunder clouds ended up raining out the event, however they made for an impressive dramatic backdrop for the thunderous V-8 tire smoking action.
