Tamyra Mensah-Stock Become a SENSATION For Taking the Freestyle Gold and Loving the USA

Simone Biles, 'hero' to many, came back and won Bronze on the Vault. Cool. Should have been better than your 2016 outing, but she did put in a stunning and brave performance... After her 3rd place finish, she came up with another excuse for her making the Gymnastics team all about herself, her Aunt passed. That does suck, but how many more straws are left to grasp at?

Gwen Berry, activist extraordinaire, failed to medal and almost finished dead last in the Hammer Throw. She must have been thinking too hard about how she was going to protest and not hard enough to get better than 11 out of 12. You love to see it.

Finally, Tamyra Mensah-Stock had a brutal path to Light Heavyweight Freestyle Gold, and she crushed it. Her victory speech was delightful for a multitude of reasons and is the 1 minute version of why people love the Olympics.
