How to Start a Campfire Using a Ferro Rod (For Beginners)
In this video I demonstrate how to start a campfire using a ferrocerium rod (ferro rod, fire steel). The ferro rod is an excellent #firecraft tool. My tips and tricks of using this "must have" survival tool may be helpful if you are new to #bushcraft, #survival or prepping. I show you how to catch a spark on two types of tinder; tree bark and fatwood (resinous pine wood). I also show you how to grow your campfire once you have a flame. I hope this video is helpful. Always practice fire safety anywhere you have a campfire and never walk away from a burning fire.
