The Ethiopian Bible Page

When we think of Christianity and the Bible, our first thought is that it is mainly a Western religion. This is not really the case. Ethiopia had both a strong Christian presence, and a written Bible, centuries before the Europeans. The Ethiopian Bible is written in Ge'ez, which is their academic and liturgical language.

This page from an Ethiopian Bible in Ge'ez is on display now in the Museum of the English Bible, Cumberland, Maryland.
