The TV series last aired on 5/5/1993 with Dr Sam Beckett jeopardizing his return home in exchange for righting a wrong for his best friend Admiral Al Calavicci by reuniting him with his first wife Beth. The series ends stating "Dr Sam Becket never returned home", one of the greatest injustices of Sci-fi TV.

This video recording of clips of the TV series, sets out an intro to a two part movie franchise (QL To Put Right, and QL What Once Went Wrong), showing the characters from the show, now 28 years on, and not having hologram Al having helped Sam put right what once went wrong in their lives because his life with Beth means he never met Sam or was involved in project Quantum Leap.

The storyline is the research facility in New Mexico comes under fire for the disappearance of Dr Sam Beckett and all Government funding is suspended upon investigation. Dr Sammy Jo Fuller (S5E9 Trilogy 3), who unknowingly is the daughter of Dr Beckett, heads the project with Admiral Tom Beckett, Sam's brother, and they continue to problem solve how to get Sam home.

Dr Carol Pruitt (S5E5 Killing Time) having remembered the name Sam Beckett when in her past was held at gun point, comes forward to see if her recollection can help Dr Fuller and the investigation.

Another woman comes forward, Teresa (S2E13 Another Mother) who recalls from her childhood seeing a man matching Sam's description who replaced her mother for several days along with 'Angel Al'. Dr Fuller and Pruitt manage to track the description of Angel Al to Al Calavicci, who owns a bar in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and runs it with wife Beth and his four daughters.

Admiral Tom Beckett speaks to Al about his time in Veitnam, and convinces him to help on the project, even though Al has no recollection of Sam, but has dejavu when he meets Teresa.
