Meet Thor and Bailey, 2 of the most beautiful German Shepherd‘s I have ever encountered, but their temperaments were even better! I honestly think Thor is the most beautiful German Shepherd I’ve ever seen including dog shows. those of you that know me know that I had King back in school, most of you encountered him. He was King Thompson IV, He will always have my heart. We had a couple German Shepherd‘s as a child, Duke was a wonderful dog we lived on Gourdneck lake with him. When I was very little we actually had another very beautiful German Shepherd named Tasha, apologies if I spelled it incorrectly, as I was only a small baby when she was given away.

Apparently the neighbors kids like to tease her with sticks through the fence which was wooden at the time eventually she had had enough of their pokes and prides over the course of several months after we moved into the house while our house was being built so apparently she went through the fence and let them know she didn’t appreciate it. She did bite someone else I believe too. I have a beautiful picture of her with me as a baby she wasn’t very friendly but loved me. It took me a while to get my 2nd German Shepherd. But I was finally ready & we bought (Kingo) King Thompson VI and Morgan my daughter was about the same age as when I was with the other mentioned talk above. I never thought another dog could be like my original but this one was in the same league.

I used to work nights at a casino and I always worried about my wife and kids. Me and Kingo would have a lot of conversations late at night when I got home from work while everyone was sleeping. He was my best friend 😭 I told him that his job was to protect my wife and kids & that if he did that he was a good boy. He took his job very seriously & let’s just say this I never worried again. No one would’ve ever been able to harm any of them he would’ve given his life for them. So u see I have a pretty special place in my heart for German Shepherd‘s but the timing of this encounter I don’t think it’s a coincidence.

We were supposed to get a great Pyrenees chocolate lab mix which was supposed to be born by today. Sadly that wasn’t in the cards for the mama, Who is doing well but there are no puppies to be had. At any rate originally we had thought about getting another Persian cat before my daughters teacher offered to give us a free puppy. We didn’t know but our breeder had moved to California so we decided not to go in that direction because the only ones we can find are so overpriced that we can’t afford them. When we just found out the other day that we were not going to be getting a puppy we had already purchased a cage & have lots of Kingo’s toys that we couldn’t wait to get back out. I told my wife and kids that it wasn’t meant to be God always has a plan for us.

I believe he led them to walk by our table tonight. I did everything in my power to give off welcoming vibes because they truly made my night! As you can tell I have a soft spot for animals, especially our four-legged friends. When I heard that they were considering eating dinner where we were at I hope that they would sit somewhere by us. By the grace of God they were placed right next to us I’m not even sure if it was up their own doing or just how it worked out. It doesn’t really matter though because I believe we’ve made friends for life!

You see you all know that I am a very Patriotic person! I have a special place in my heart for those that serve this country. Whether it be the military, law-enforcement, fire, or EMS they do God’s work. Let’s just say I back the blue and I absolutely know the blanket a freedom that is provided that I sleep under, (A Few Good Men) due to those they have given the ultimate sacrifice for this nation. That’s not to mention those that have went and served & come back sick or emotionally damaged from what they had to do for us. That is why when I see anyone kneel for the national anthem I reach for my remote, for I will not allow anyone to disrespect them in that way. My father-in-law was a hero! I couldn’t be prouder of that fact.

He saw some very difficult times and he had his own struggles and ultimately what he was exposed to took his life in the end. I have always supported our military since a very young age. It was truly a pleasure meeting Leif and his wife Amy they are the salt of the earth type people. Leif like my father-in-law was a hero too and served his country well. Not only did he support all of our freedoms defending us in the military, but he had a long career in the police force. I truly believe God led them to us. You see until this moment I hadn’t even considered getting another German Shepherd, because when we had put ours down a few years back way too early because of the what they put on the grass here in Florida, I told my wife & kids I didn’t know if I could ever have one again it hurt too much.
