Let us talk obesity from an energy perspective!

Obesity is the 4th biggest killer and we currently have a serious problem in the UK

As much as you would like to argue it, having excess body fat is not healthy.

Let me highlight quickly that happiness and health are two different things although closely linked, they are different

Many people promote body positivity and rightly highlight that we should always be ok where we are at and to focus on how you feel rather than how you look.

I do have my concerns with social media when people strongly promote this way to all their followers and sometimes this can be very damaging.

Let me explain.

If an approach works for you, it is important to share your experiences with your followers but we need to make sure that we highlight it is a preference and not a must. We can recommend, although we should become aware of who agenda it is?

When someone is really down about their weight, unhappy and feeling awful, there must be lots of confusion when people you respect make you feel guilty about wanting to lose weight

I have witnessed this a number of times and I would like to stress that is post if from my perspective.

Since I’ve started coaching I have been working with a number of clients who are terminally ill. When they are fighting for their life, they need all the energy they can get to heal.

I would like you to look at obesity from an energy standpoint. When we get ill, we need as much energy for ourselves to heal.

We have usually have day to day stresses flying around and every negative thought we have uses lots of energy.

When at rest our body is having to use energy to heal. If you are severely obese, your body is using lots of energy to break down fat that doesn’t want to be there.

The amount of energy that our body is using to break down unwanted fat would be better off used for healing

We should love ourselves everyday as well as always looking to grow. The main area we should always put as a priority is your health. With this, you can achieve so much more
