IN LA REUNION ISLAND, THE POPULATION WANTS TO BLOCKADE THE ISLAND.

La Reunion is a French island and overseas territory located in the Indian Ocean.

The authorities have just announced that a local lockdown would be imposed on the whole island.

The residents reacted with great anger by blocking most of the major roads on the island and laying siege to the Prefecture, the local government.

The protesters say they will not respect the lockdown and are prepared to stage a total blockade of the island in protest.
