Do You Really Love God; The Evidence

Do you really love God lets look at the evidence.

Matt. 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

There are three places in our being in which we must love God, our heart, soul, and mind.

1. Heart; Do you control the thoughts that proceed from your heart?

(Matt 15:19 [KJV]) For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

The moment you recognize the thought as evil you need to rebuke it.

2. Soul; the human soul consists of your mind, emotions, and will.

Are you allowing God to teach your mind so you can control your emotions, and then God can direct your will?

How much time do you spend in your Bible, quality study time?

3. Mind; These are the ways we interact with other people?

(Col 3:8 [KJV]) But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Do we truly love our neighbor as ourselves?

(1John 4:20-21 [KJV]) If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

If you truly love God you will love Him with all your heart, soul, and mind.
