Brittney's Severe Forecast
A sunny start to a wild weather Wednesday, as temperatures rapidly rise to the upper 80s and low 90s with oppressive humidity. Building clouds through the afternoon with chances of a few pop up storms after 1pm. But the main threat arrives after 5pm... and it is a rare and dangerous "moderate risk" for widespread strong to severe storms then. This system could turn into a possible derecho, as is slams into central Wisconsin this evening. It's bringing the chances for widespread hurricane force damaging winds, dangerous large hail, frequent lightning and even the potential for tornadoes. Stay weather savvy this evening! Behind the storms, sunshine will be abundant and cooler weather in the upper 70s and lower 80s to close out the week. The next chance for storms arrives Saturday, with cooler and sunny weather behind it to close out the weekend and as we push into next week.
