They’re primary and secondary school children in a place in Cameroon called Bakassi Peninsula. They go to school under very hard conditions but yet still happy.Bakassi is a fishing port and hence the dominant occupation there is fishing. Children are forced to join their parents fishing at a very young age. Some of these children go through a lot just to make sure they get a formal education. Seeing them happy, makes me very happy. The school is almost inside the sea because of sea encroachment. The sea sometimes flood the classes leaving behind all kinds of particles including faeces. Yet the children are determined to pursue their dreams. They were so excited to be under the camera.
