The moonwalk is a popping dance step where the dancer moves backward while appearing to walk forward. The step became known the world over after American singer Michael Jackson performed it during his performance of "Billie Jean" on the TV special Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever, held on March 25, 1983, and broadcast on May 16, 1983. Later, this became the singer's most famous step.
