20210726 Christianity and the Constitution - The Daily Summation

Maybe it's not so clear to those who are NOT believers in something above and beyond this planet.

Those of us who DO believe neither life nor authority ends at the human who manages to gain control are likely to have beliefs that CANNOT be attributed to earthly philosophies or thought experiments.

That means, if someone like me, supports something like the United States Constitution, it CAN ONLY BE BECAUSE, it's consistent with our HIGHER beliefs.

Were the U. S. Constitution modified in such a way that it became inconsistent with the base (or even outlying) tenets of my faith, I would NOT be able to continue to support it as reasonable and proper.

Does it matter that I'll incur various sanctions as a result? If I'm honestly true to what I hold dear, the answer MUST UNEQUIVOCALLY BE, "No."

This line of thought is what brought on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
