The Poets Lament

Poetic lamentations plague me
when some days I go to write
Explaining emotions with words
depicting ones disaccord as contrite

Struggles encounter each of us
in one way or another on occasion
Be sure to leave no stone unturned
or fall under false persuasion

The day to day of our quotidian lives
find comfort in daily routine
Disruptions expound our frailties
our humanness makes us sanguine

The journey to exonerate our souls
should not leave us here to repine
Find your courage deep within
lest you relinquish and supine

We need not suffer in a penitent silence
if we turn control over to heaven above
The greatest healing can begin
when we surrender in forgiveness to love
