This 6x52 cigar features a very dark brown dry, toothy firm wrapper with small veins, tight seams, double cap and musty damp tobacco aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with good smoke output on the thick side. Medium body flavors of a smooth, oily musty aged tobacco with a long finish of the same. The first third holds the body at medium, showing a smooth sweet leather with a nice pepper and spice through the long finish, with an oil on the lips. The stick absolutely pours off smoke just sitting there, with a great room aroma. 30 minutes in just starting the 2nd third the ash drops off in a solid chunk and flavors shift. The overall tone is much creamier now both in texture and flavor, with the leather subsiding for a smooth general earthiness. The pepper taste is still there but the spice is almost gone. It's finish is still long with just the smooth earth and bit of sweetness lingering. 55 minutes in at the 1/2 way point, body is up to medium-full along with the strength, giving a bit of a rush, mixing very well with the bigger body. Flavors are almost the same, bringing the draw to deeper more substantial earthiness, kicking up the pepper a bit especially on the finish. 1:10 minutes in just starting the last third, flavors shift a bit moving to a big creamy zing cinnamon on the draw, holding the cream and zing to the next draw. Ending at 1:45 the last bit showed no further changes.
