The Duke's Son Chapter 02 Birth And Death

Someone once asked me if it was reasonable to write a book where you have just one chapter from a different point of view. Personally I feel that so long as you are advancing the story then it shouldn't be a problem.

This chapter is written from the point of view of the hero's mother. Since she dies in the very next chapter it would be hard for her to be the POV again.

There is a chapter at the beginning of the third book that is written from Anida's POV and the epilogue is written from the POV of the hero's wife (I won't name her to avoid confusion.)

The main POV in the trilogy is that of the hero (Reyes) himself but since he isn't born until chapter two (this chapter) I dance around mainly between Jenni and the Duke. About half way through the book Jenni and Reyes' paths will separate. Reyes will become the main voice of the book, but there will still be many chapters from Jenni's POV as there are things of import happening to her. ------------------------------------------------------------
