The Isle of Man (Manx: Mannin [ˈmanɪnʲ], also Ellan Vannin [ˈɛlʲan ˈvanɪnʲ]), also known as Mann (/mæn/), is an island nation and self-governing British Crown Dependency in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The "National Anthem of the Isle of Man" (Manx: Arrane Ashoonagh Vannin) was written and composed by William Henry Gill in 1907, with the Manx translation by John J. Kneen. It is often referred to by its incipit, "O Land of Our Birth" ("O Halloo Nyn Ghooie" in Manx). The anthem was given official status in 2003, with God Save the Queen being designated as the Royal Anthem.
