Thanks for checking out DIY Woodn't You! In this video we show you how to make a balancing wine bottle holder, but more than just that I'd like to say thank you to one of my best friends, Daniel, for always pushing me and encouraging me to chase my dreams. A long time ago Daniel said I should make a video on these wine bottle holders, so here we are. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below.
To make one of these, it's fairly simple:
-You need a piece of wood roughly 3" wide (or wider) x 9" long (or longer) x 3/4" thick. You may be able to use thinner, but I wouldn't trust it to hold a glass bottle.
-The bottom of the board get's cut at a 45 degree angle.
- You drill a 1-1/4" hole 7" on center from the bottom of the board, centered side to side with the base.
The rest is up to you, so use your imagination! This works with most any standard size wine bottle. I like to make mine look like they should break (even though I know they won't). Trust me....I'm an engineer...
