National Anthem of Kingdom Hanover (1814–1866) - Heil dir, Hannover (Instrumental)

The Kingdom of Hanover (German: Königreich Hannover) was established in October 1814 by the Congress of Vienna. The kingdom was in personal union with the United Kingdom untill 1837.
Heil dir, Hannover (English : Hail to thee, Hanover), was the national anthem of the Electorate, and later Kingdom of Hanover, adopted in the early eighteenth century. It was set to the melody of the British anthem, "God Save the King".

Freude werd’ Dir zuteil,
Freude stets mehr.
Jauchze, Du Engels-Chor,
dringe zu Gottes Ohr!
Mit Deinem Freudenchor:
Gebt Gott die Ehr’!

Gott gab den Freudentag,
was tief verborgen lag,
kam nun ans Licht.
Zage nicht, Erdensohn,

schützt unser Welfenhaus
