Place: Philadelphia

I’ll never forget the day I was born. -Cried like a baby
Three days after birth I contracted dysentery. From that day on, my mother always worried about me.
Mother always made me feel special. All through my teen years she would tell her friends when I accomplished something
Mom gave me confidence. How? She constantly praised me. She was very thoughtful. Just one example. As a young teen, she noticed that I enjoyed watching Milton Berle. Laughing load at his jokes. For my birthday she got me a birthday card , sent and signed by Milton Berle.
Mom always encouraged me to do my best. She paid my college tuition, purchased my books
Mom worked two jobs. She would home on her lunch break to fed myself and younger brother
Mom had some scary times and disappointments too
She had pneumonia as a teenager. Doctors could not cure her. It was a freezing winter when the doctor said “sit by an open window / Mom got better
In the1950’s she applied for a job at AT&T / was turned down (in writing) because of her Jewish faith
She lost my father in 1973
The list goes -on—and-on
My Mother has been ny role model. She lifted me up when I was down. I care and treat my children as she treated me. All my children are honest and successful

One last thing. Mom was beautiful too. She modeled the first ladies stocking for Dorian Grey
