We come to the conclusion that the anti-christ will destroy all the false religions in the world, in order to bring under his control the one and only false religion that the anti-christ wants, which is to have everyone worship him. We are reminded in verse 17 that all this is fulfilling God’s will, and thus God is in control as always.
