Marmot video

The Marmot are well suited for life in cold environments and have small ful-covered ears, short stocky legs, and strong claws for digging. Length of the bulky body is 30 to 60 cm 11.8 - 23.6 inches and the short, bushy tail is 10 to 25 cm long.
Marmot are relatively large ground squirrel in the genus Marmota, with 15 species living in Asia , Europe, and North America. These herbivores are active during the summer when often found in groups, but are not seen during the winter when they hibernate underground. The Lifespan 15 to 18 years.
