One of the mathematical theories taught at the high school level is the concept of the Pythagorean Theorem, also known as the Pythagoras' Theorem. The Pythagorean theorem describes a special relationship between the sides of a right-angled triangle. Even the ancients knew of this relationship. However, have you heard of the Gougu Theorem? It is actually the Chinese equivalent of the Pythagorean Theorem. More than 2000 years ago, the ancient Chinese had already demonstrated how this theorem could be proven using a visual approach.
